BUA founder funds 500-seat lecture theatre at Adamawa State University

Founder of BUA and Nigeria’s second-richest man, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has furthered his philanthropic footprint by funding the completion of a 500-seat lecture theatre at Adamawa State University, Mubi. The N350 million ($250,000) project was delivered through the ASR Africa Tertiary Education Grant Scheme.
The new facility, which proudly bears Rabiu’s name, also includes four fully equipped boreholes, significantly improving access to clean water on campus. This marks the first ASR Africa-funded educational infrastructure in Nigeria’s North-East, providing a modern venue for lectures, examinations, seminars, and conferences.
Rabiu, who is also the founder of ASR Africa, has consistently invested in education, healthcare, and social development across Nigeria.
His foundation has supported more than 30 universities nationwide, highlighting his commitment to building human capital and advancing academic excellence.
In recognition of his contributions to education and social development, Rabiu was awarded an honorary doctorate at Adamawa State University’s recent convocation.
