Buhari explains absence at APC caucus, NEC meetings

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has conveyed his apologies for being unable to attend the caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to which he was invited.
The former president in a statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, expressed regret for his absence, attributing it to prior commitments that he was bound to fulfill.
Despite not being physically present, he reiterated his unwavering support and commitment to the party.
The statement reads: “Former President Muhammadu Buhari has explained his inability to be present at the caucus meeting and the National Executive Committee, NEC, meetings of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to which he has been invited.
“He has conveyed his apologies, indicating that he is unable to attend due to commitments earlier made.
“The former President used the opportunity to express his support and commitment to the party, at the same time wishing it a good meeting, as the leaders take decisions on issues of importance to the party and the nation.”
The APC caucus meeting was held on Wednesday at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja while the NEC meeting will hold at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja today to address critical issues concerning the party and the nation.
Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo also sent in his apologies for both meetings.
