Buhari lauds Patricia Scotland on reappointment as Commonwealth Secretary General

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday in Kigali, congratulated Patricia Scotland QC on her reappointment as the Secretary General of Commonwealth for another term of 6 years.

Scotland, former Attorney General of England and Wales, lawyer, British diplomat, and politician who is the 6th Secretary General of the Commonwealth was first elected in 2015

In his congratulatory message posted on his verified social media accounts, President Buhari specially thank the Secretary General for her consistent cooperation and support for Nigeria.

Buhari wrote: “I congratulate Patricia Scotland QC, Commonwealth Secretary-General on her reappointment as The Commonwealth Secretary-General,and wish her a successful term in office. I commend her purposeful leadership in the last 6 years, championing the values of the association; and thank her for consistently supporting Nigeria.”
