Buhari meets Tinubu, other APC presidential aspirants tonight

President Muhammadu Buhari will tonight meet with presidential aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the party’s special convention on Monday June 6th, 2022.
The president is expected to charge the aspirants on the importance of unity among them as the party prepares for the 2023 general elections.
The meeting is in continuation of President Buhari’s meeting with critical stakeholders of the party ahead of the primaries.
He had earlier met with APC governors on Tuesday before he departed to Spain for a state visit.
In the meeting, he charged the governors to support the selection of a candidate who is a true party man and will be able to win the election for the party.
He also met with the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu.
The aspirants who were cleared by the screening committee are National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Rotimi Amaechi, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and Ogbonaya Onu.
Others are Governors Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Yahaya Bello (Kogi) and David Umahi (Ebonyi).
Godswill Akpabio, Ibikunle Amosun and Tein Jack-Rich also made the list.
