Buhari nominates Ahmad, Adamu as CBN deputy governors for second term
President Muhammadu Buhari has sent the names of Mrs Aisha Ahmad and Edward Adamu to the Senate as Deputy Governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Senate President Ahmed Lawan read the letter for the confirmation at the floor of the Senate on Tuesday.
Both nominations are for a second and final term in office.
Ahmad and Adamu were both confirmed as CBN deputy governors in March 2018 for a first term of five years in office.
The Senate also received two letters from President Buhari for the confirmation of appointment of Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako as a member of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT); and the Federal Capital Territory 2023 statutory budget proposal.
