Buhari shelves UK trip, return to Abuja from Kenya

President Muhammadu Buhari shelved his plans to travel to the United Kingdom for a medical check-up as he returned to the Abuja from Kenya.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, announced Buhari’s return to Abuja on Friday.
“President Buhari departs Nairobi, Kenya and arrives Abuja on 4th Mar 2022,” Adesina wrote on Facebook.
The media aide had in an earlier statement he released on Tuesday to announce Buhari’s trip to Kenya, announced that the president would proceed to the UK for “routine medical checks that will last for a maximum of two weeks”.
He however did not give the reasons for Buhari’s decision to shelve the UK trip.
