Building collapse claims life in Osun

Tragedy struck on Omiloode Street in the Ifetedo area of Osun State when a dilapidated building collapsed, claiming the life of a woman identified as Mrs. Idowu.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kehinde Adeleke, despite a swift response from the Ife South division of the command, the woman did not survive.

Adeleke stated, “An abandoned dilapidated building located along Omiloode Street, Ifetedo, collapsed and killed Mrs. Idowu, who was near the structure at the time. Officers and men of the NSCDC Ife South division rushed to the site for a rescue operation, but unfortunately, the woman had already passed away.”
The site has since been cordoned off, and the woman’s body was recovered.
