CDS Musa reaffirms armed forces’ commitment to address security challenges

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has reaffirmed the armed forces’ steadfast commitment was the only way to address the nation’s security challenges.

Speaking during his Sallah message to the officers and men of the Armed Forces of Nigeria in Abuja on Tuesday, Gen. Musa called on all Nigerians to show their love and support to the personnel.

Emphasizing that the armed forces are for all Nigerians, he appealed for increased support to eliminate threats to national security and development.

Gen. Musa also urged troops deployed across various theaters of operation to uphold discipline, resilience, patriotism, and courage in their service to the nation, expressing deep appreciation for their sacrifices and dedication to safeguarding Nigeria.

He stated, “We recognise the sacrifices you make, sometimes at great personal cost, to ensure the peace and security of our nation.

“As Chief of Defence Staff, I reaffirm my commitment to the welfare and well-being of our troops in all theaters of operation.”

According to him, the Sallah celebration is a chance to seek forgiveness, divine favour, and enduring peace for the nation.

“As you commemorate this sacred time, I urge you to uphold the virtues of piety, honesty, tolerance, love, and unity, which you embraced during Ramadan.”
