Super Eagles Team B coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, believes that securing a spot in the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will significantly enhance the domestic league, the players, and indigenous coaches.

Ogunmodede expressed satisfaction with the goalless draw achieved by his team against Ghana’s Black Galaxies in Sunday’s first-leg encounter.

He emphasized that qualifying for the 2024 CHAN is crucial for the growth and development of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The CHAN Eagles are set to host their Ghanaian counterparts this Saturday in Uyo for the decisive second leg.

Sharing his thoughts, Ogunmodede, who also manages Remo Stars of Ikenne, said: “I am satisfied with the draw. Now, it is for us to qualify for CHAN. Qualification will add more value to our league, the players, and the indigenous coaches.”

The overall winners of this final playoff will advance to the rescheduled 2024 CHAN tournament, which is set to take place in February across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
