CHAN qualifier: Eagles coaches to reduce players in camp

Ahead of CHAN qualifying tie against the Black Galaxies of Ghana, Nigeria’s Super Eagles B have intensified preparations for the match.
The Nigerian side is currently camped at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.
Assistant coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, while giving update on the team, revealed that the number of players in camp might be reduced this weekend.
He also spoke about the injured Ossy Martins, who susstained injuries after being involved in an accident on his way to the camp.
The former MFM of Lagos gaffer revealed that the there is the possibility that some players will be dropped this weekend, even as he added that no decision has been taken on Martins.
“We are intensifying our training for the game and as things are, we may reduce the number of players in camp.
“We are looking at what we are going to do. We want to reduce the players and we are taking Ossy Martins’ condition into consideration.
” If we are okay with the attackers, we may not replace him but if need be, we might see if he can join the team, ” stated the ex- Plateau United coach.
Nigeria will face Ghana in a two legged qualifier for the CHAN tournament, with the first leg holding in Ghana, while the return leg comes up at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
