English side Chelsea FC delivered a stunning first-half performance to defeat Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 3-0 and claim the FIFA Club World Cup title.
The final, held at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, witnessed a strong showing from the Blues, with U.S. President Donald Trump among the spectators.
Cole Palmer was the star of the night, scoring twice before Joao Pedro sealed the emphatic win with a third goal, all within the opening 45 minutes.
Palmer opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and doubled Chelsea’s lead just seven minutes later, putting the French champions on the back foot.
Pedro added the third goal in the 43rd minute, capitalizing on Chelsea’s dominant display to effectively end PSG’s hopes before halftime.
Chelsea maintained control throughout the second half, with PSG unable to mount a comeback or break through the English side’s disciplined defence.
The victory capped off a remarkable season for Chelsea under manager Enzo Maresca, who had earlier guided the team to the UEFA Europa Conference League title.
