Olakunle Churchill, the former husband of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, has spoken publicly following their reconciliation, revealing that their son, King Andre, recently called him for the first time.
Dikeh had announced on Saturday that she and Churchill had resolved their long-running differences, bringing an end to nearly a decade of public disputes.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Churchill expressed joy at receiving a phone call from King Andre, during which the child addressed him as “daddy” for the first time. He described the moment as deeply emotional and credited faith for making reconciliation and healing possible.
Churchill praised Dikeh for her role in raising their son and said both parents are now committed to co-parenting with mutual respect and care. He noted that forgiveness had opened a new chapter in their relationship, allowing them to move forward peacefully for the sake of their child.
“I am grateful to have my son back in my life,” he said, adding appreciation for Dikeh as “the amazing mother of my son” and commending her efforts in his upbringing.
Churchill and Dikeh were married in 2015, but the union ended controversially in 2017. Since their separation, both parties had repeatedly clashed on social media, including a highly publicised exchange in 2020.
