Civil/Military Relations: Owo monarch receives in audience 32 Artillery Brigade Commandant

The Olowo of Owo and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land, His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, has received in audience the newly posted Commander, 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment, Akure, Brigadier General, J A Ifeanyi in his Palace in Owo.

Brigadier General Ifeanyi, the 12th Military Commander to serve in Ondo State, was in the Palace on a courtesy visit and to familiarize with important personalities in the State, and in addition to seek for royal blessings from His Majesty.

While speaking, the Officer informed the monarch that this was the third time he would serve in Ondo State, saying that he had served as a Captain, Colonel and now a Brigadier General to Command the 32 Artillery Brigade.

The Commandant thanked Oba Ogunoye for the warm reception accorded him and his team. He pledged that his Officers and Men will continue to leave in peace and discharge their constitutional duties without infringing on anybody’s right in the State.

Responding, Oba Ogunoye congratulated the Officer for his new posting to Ondo State, having been found worthy in character and learning, as well as his past experiences in the State. Alayeluwa described the Nigerian Army as a foremost Institution in terms of discipline, professionalism and service delivery, particularly in the protection of the territorial integrity of the country.

The monarch appreciated the visit and prayed for a successful tenure for the Brigade Commander in Ondo State.
