Comedian Bovi’s wife reveals husband stopped her from changing maiden name

Comedian Bovi Ugboma’s wife, Kris Asimoye, has revealed that her husband discouraged her from changing her maiden name after their marriage. She explained that she now understands the reason behind his decision.

The fashion and beauty entrepreneur shared on Instagram on Monday that she initially did not understand why Bovi made that request, but she now appreciates it, especially as she builds her name into a personal brand.

“When I got married, my husband encouraged me not to change my last name. At the time, I did not fully understand why. Now, building Kris Asimoye as a brand, I understand completely,” she wrote.

The couple, who share three children, tied the knot on 19 September 2009.
