Constituency Forum to hold 2024 Awards Night December 20

The Constituency Forum has finalized plans to host its annual Constituency Awards Dinner and Night on December 20, 2024.

The Constituency Forum comprises residents of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (ELCDA) and Isolo Local Council Development Area (ILCDA) in Lagos State.

A statement issued on Saturday by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Lasisi Idris, said the event is set to celebrate the achievements and exceptional contributions of individuals and organizations to the growth and development of the Oshodi/Isolo Constituency II.

Idris explained that the event is expected to attract personalities from all walks of life, including business, community development, education, corporate organizations, and public service.

He stated that the awards aim to encourage both the awardees and potential philanthropists to continue contributing to the growth and development of the two LCDAs, emphasizing that grassroots development cannot be left solely to the government.

Idris added that the awards and awardees are categorized into 17 sections, with the selection of winners based on public opinion as well as an evaluation of their contributions to the constituency and its residents.

“This is the second edition of the Annual Constituency Awards Dinner and Night, and it is more advanced than the previous one in terms of organization, planning, and event components,” Idris stated. “This year, we are introducing special awards for individuals who have uplifted our constituency in unique ways. Additionally, a dinner night will be included to enhance the event.”

He further noted, “Brands will be given promotional opportunities to showcase their products on our backdrops, banners, and pamphlets for publicity.”

“We invite brands and business owners to be part of this historic event by advertising their products and services through our various platforms designed to reach their target audience.

“The event will host residents from both LCDAs, Ejigbo and Isolo, and will also welcome attendees from other constituencies, as we have extended invitations to all 39 state constituencies in Lagos. The mileage that brands will gain from participating in this event is significant.”

The award categories include Education, Lifetime Community Service, Public Service, Sports, Business, Innovation, and Environmental Services.

Others include Health Sector, Leadership, Art and Culture, Best Councillors in Ejigbo LCDA, Best Councillors in Isolo LCDA, Best Supervisor in each council, Best Supervisor in the constituency, Best Councillor in the constituency, and Best Council Chairman in the constituency.
