Court dismisses Obasa’s bid to change Lagos Assembly counsel

The Lagos State High Court has dismissed an application by the Speaker of the State’s House of Assembly, Rt (Hon) Mudashiru Obasa, to change the Counsel to the House of Assembly.

With the dismissal, Mr Femi Falana (SAN) remains the counsel for the Assembly, the first defendant in Obasa’s suit challenging his removal.

After the proceedings, Justice Yetunde Pinheiro adjourned the case, informing the court that a date will be communicated to the parties involved.

It would be recalled that Obasa filed a suit challenging his removal on January 13, 2025, by 35 lawmakers.
