Court orders FG to take over socialite Pretty Mike’s Lagos nightclub

Justice Ibrahim Ahmed Kala of the Federal High Court, Lagos, has ordered the interim forfeiture of Mike Nwalie, popularly known as Pretty Mike’s Proxy Lagos Nightclub, to the federal government.

Both the Lagos socialite, Pretty Mike, and the club manager, Joachim Hillary, are currently in custody over alleged drug-related offences.

The nightclub is located at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In a case between the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and Pretty Mike, Justice Kala granted the interim forfeiture order on Tuesday after hearing an ex parte motion filed by NDLEA counsel, Barrister Buhari Abdullahi. The motion, marked FHC/L/MISC/1161/2025, sought the temporary seizure of the property.

The NDLEA alleged that the property was being used as an instrument for committing drug offences and was, therefore, liable to forfeiture to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

NDLEA counsel, B.S. Abdullahi, explained that the motion for interim attachment was necessary to secure the asset pending the conclusion of investigations.

He added that the application was a crucial step toward curbing the alleged illicit activities of Pretty Mike and his associates.
