The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has assured its members and supporters that the recent court pronouncement concerning the party’s forthcoming national convention will not affect its activities or political processes.
In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by the State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, the party emphasized that the court decision does not impede the smooth running of its administrative or political activities at either the national or state level.
Bisi stated that Governor Ademola Adeleke has duly obtained his nomination forms and successfully appeared before the PDP screening panel constituted by the national leadership, assuring that all subsequent stages of the process will continue as scheduled.
He said, “Governor Ademola Adeleke has duly obtained his nomination forms and successfully appeared before the screening panel constituted by the national leadership of the party. All subsequent stages of the process will proceed seamlessly and in strict compliance with the PDP’s established guidelines.”
The party further explained that the matter arising from the court pronouncement is already being handled with maturity and due diligence by the national leadership.
Bisi added that the national leadership of the party has already initiated appropriate legal and administrative measures to address the matter without delay.
He urged all members, supporters, and stakeholders of the party in the state to continue their mobilisation and grassroots engagements toward ensuring a resounding victory for the PDP in the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for August 8, 2026.
The party expressed confidence that with unity, discipline, and faith in due process, the PDP will continue to stand as the true symbol of democracy, stability, and good governance in Osun State and across Nigeria.
