Deadline transfers for Nigerian stars: Chukwueze, Dessers, Boniface, others

Several Nigerian internationals were involved in transfer activities on the final day of the European transfer window.

Among the major moves were those of Tolu Arokodare, Samuel Chukwueze, and Cyriel Dessers.

The English Premier League benefited significantly from Nigerian transfers, with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham securing the services of Arokodare and Chukwueze, respectively.

Arokodare left Belgian side Genk to join Wolves on a four-year deal, while Chukwueze departed AC Milan to link up with compatriots Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at Fulham on loan.

Dessers also made a switch, leaving Scottish side Rangers to join Greek giants Panathinaikos.

In Germany, Victor Boniface secured a loan move to Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.

Meanwhile, Chrisantus Uche sealed a permanent transfer from Getafe to Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.
