Dele Ajayi retains seat as Ondo State FA Chairman

Incumbent Otunba Dele Ajayi was re-elected as the Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association on Friday.

At the election held at the Police Officers’ Mess in Akure, Ajayi polled 12 votes to defeat his closest rival, Dele Ologbese, who secured nine votes.

The two other contestants for the chairmanship position, Barrister Remi and Henry Abiodun, did not receive any votes.

Demeji Abimbola emerged as the Vice-Chairman of the association, having garnered 10 votes to beat Henry Akingboju, who had nine votes.

From the Southern District, Babatunde Igbasan and Akindipe Akisola were elected to the board, while Aladetoyinbo and Isaac Olagunju were elected to represent the Central Senatorial District.

The trio of Aborowa Gabriel, Daodu Alexander, and Mohammed Abiodun were elected to the board to represent the Northern Senatorial District.

Representatives of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ameenu Mohammed, and the Chairman of the Ekiti State FA, Oluwole Oloworemo, who represented the South-West, were present to monitor the exercise.
