Dele Momodu seeks Ooni, Olufi’s blessing in 2023 presidential ambition, visits OAU

Presidential hopeful, Dele Momodu, has visited the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Olufi of Gbongan, HRM Oba Adetoyese Oyeniyi, and the Obafemi Awolowo University to seek blessings ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Momodu has announced his desire to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
At the Ooni’s palace, Momodu said it was homecoming for him, because he spent his early years in the town.
He said it was time to offer Nigerians credible leadership, which was why he entered the race.
Ooni who spoke in Yoruba, prayed for the aspirant, adding that “nobody should underrate Dele Momodu because he is destined for greatness”
Also at Olufi’s palace, the monarch declared his support for Momodu and also showered him with prayers.
During his courtesy visit to the University, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, said Momodu was a thoroughbred Nigeria and a source of inspiration for the youths.
He was later decorated as a distinguished alumnus and presented with gifts.
In the course of his visit, Momodu also paid an emotional tour to the graveside of his parents.
