Delta Special Adviser’s Death: ‘Husband’s in Protective Custody’ – Police

Delta State Police Command on Monday revealed Pastor David Favour Love, the husband of the Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor on Trade and Export, Mrs Shimite Bello Love (née Nwakalo), who reportedly died on Sunday, is now in police custody.
The Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, SP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the death of Shimite, clarified that her husband was not arrested but is being kept in police protective custody.

SP Edafe said, “ I will prefer to say he is in protective custody and not that he was arrested. He was the one who called that his wife died. But the family of the woman are threatening to kill him, thinking that he killed his wife. While we are waiting for the autopsy to determine what happened, the man is in protective custody.”
Reports indicate the late Special Adviser, popularly called Madam Sabificate, Shimite, may have died of poisoning after witnesses claim she was foaming in the mouth before her death.
The late adviser reportedly passed away at St Luke’s Hospital, Asaba, where she was rushed for emergency treatment.
Meanwhile, Shimite’s body has been deposited in the mortuary as police investigations into her death continue.
