DJ Chicken to face charges for reckless driving

Following public outcry against his continued driving, the Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced that it is accelerating the prosecution of social media personality Ademola Abiodun, also known as DJ Chicken for reckless driving.

DJ Chicken, on November 1, 2025, while driving, collided his automobile with two motorcycles in Sagamu, Ogun State, resulting in severe injuries to a rider and a female passenger.

He was again involved in another lone car accident in Lekki, Lagos State, on November 23, 2025, in which pedestrians were nearly caught up.

In a press statement on Monday, the Ogun State government said the last incident was “the third road crash in two months involving Mr Abiodun at the wheel”.

The statement added that the social media influencer poses significant risks to society and should be held accountable under criminal law.

“Accordingly, the Attorney-General and Honourable Commissioner for Justice – Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN – has directed relevant officers to expedite action on the pending crash case from Sagamu for prompt arraignment,” the statement said.

During the November 1 crash, DJ Chicken reportedly attempted to leave the scene of the incident, provoking an angry reaction from a mob.

The government said following the repeated auto crashes, it has become imperative to intervene to protect the public.
