D’Tigress arrives Presidential Villa after historic FIBA AfroBasket victory

Nigeria’s national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, has arrived at the Presidential Villa in Abuja following their triumphant performance at the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Championship.
The team, which secured its fifth consecutive AfroBasket title, returned from Côte d’Ivoire on Monday after defeating Mali 78–64 in the final game on Sunday.
D’Tigress arrived at the forecourt of the State House around 5 p.m., where they were warmly received by Vice President Kashim Shettima and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The reception marked a celebration of yet another major milestone for Nigerian basketball, with the team extending its dominance in African women’s basketball.
