Edo APC Primary: Gov. Otu replaces Uzodinma as election chairman

In response to the crisis that followed last weekend’s All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Edo State, the party has removed Governor Hope Uzodinma as the chairman of the Elections Committee. The party has now announced the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, as the new chairman.

In a revised list of members to oversee the conduct of the rescheduled primary slated for Thursday, 22 February, APC’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammed Argungu announced Alhaji Yunusa Mohammed would serve as the secretary.

The Edo governorship primary of the party had generated controversy and was declared inconclusive to pave the way for a fresh party primary after a series of petitions against Uzodinma.
