Education plays important role in national development – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has underscored the crucial role of education in national development and addressing societal issues. He emphasized that without education, no nation can effectively tackle these important matters.

Speaking on Wednesday at the official launch of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) to commence the implementation phase of the Student Loan Scheme in Nigeria, Tinubu described education as the “light at the end of the tunnel.”

“Without education, there is no vision. Without education, there is no development. Without education, you cannot successfully conquer insecurity and abuse in society. Education is that light at the end of the tunnel. No matter how sluggish it moves, it will give you the light and the hope necessary to live life, and we are investing in it,” President Tinubu stated.

The event was held at the Council Chambers at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of education for the nation, stating that ignorance should not be considered an alternative. He expressed his satisfaction with the leadership for accepting the responsibility of promoting education at all levels and acknowledged their efforts in this regard.

“We don’t want to try ignorance as an alternative. We want education from the foundation to the topmost level, and I’m glad the leadership accepted this responsibility and they are working hard,” President Tinubu said.
