Eid-el-Fitri: President Tinubu calls for continued good deeds

President Bola Tinubu on Sunday joined hundreds of Muslim faithful to observe Eid prayers at the National Prayer Ground on Airport Road, Abuja.

The president participated in the prayers alongside top government officials, religious leaders, and members of the Muslim community, marking the celebration of Eid with devotion and unity.

Speaking after the prayers, President Tinubu urged Nigerians to uphold the values of kindness, charity, and compassion instilled during the holy month of Ramadan.

“We should continue the good deeds as taught by the holy month of Ramadan—care for the vulnerable, orphans, the less privileged—and every step we have observed, we should not reverse to the past. That is not acceptable to the teachings of this month; that is what I pray for,” the president stated.

He also expressed gratitude to God for seeing the country through the period of fasting and prayers.

“We should give thanks to Almighty Allah. We started together, and we are ending it together in good health, in happiness, and in prayers for our country and for all our people,” Tinubu added.
