Eid-el-Kabir: Abiru urges Nigerians to support govt end insecurity

Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries and the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District , Tokunbo Abiru, has called on Nigerians to collectively support the government in stemming the tide of insecurity and other challenges facing Nigeria.

Abiru, in a goodwill message he personally signed  in Lagos, implored Muslims and all Nigerians not to relent in prayers for the nation and also leave peacefully with one another regardless of their religious persuasions.

According to him, the protracted challenges facing the nation require efforts of all people of good conscience.

The Senator congratulated Muslims in the Senatorial district and across Nigeria on the 2022 Eid-El-Kabir sallah.

He encouraged Nigerians not to give up on the country, adding that greater days lie ahead as the National Leader and presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to become Nigeria’s President with their support.

Abiru also called on Nigerians of voting age who are yet to register in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) to register and ensure they vote in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

“I heartily felicitate with my Muslim borthers and sisters and all Nigerians on this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.

“It has pleased Almighty Allah in his infinite mercy to spare our lives to witness another Sallah. I am as disturbed as all other Nigerians of good conscience about the state of affairs in our dear nation, especially the precarious security situation.

“As the Federal and sub-national governments are making frantic efforts in neutralising these agents of doom, we should all support in our respective ways,” Abiru said.
