Eid-el-Maulud: 900 Amotekun operatives deployed across Ondo

The Ondo State Security Network Agency, otherwise known as Amotekun, has mobilised 900 operatives throughout the state ahead of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
The State Commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, who confirmed the deployment in Akure, assured residents of a peaceful and hitch-free festivity.
He explained that all zonal and area commanders, alongside Amotekun rangers, have been placed on alert with a directive to remain vigilant in their respective domains.
According to him, officers have been strategically stationed at identified red spots across the 18 local government areas, covering highways, worship centres, and major public spaces.
“This is part of our commitment to safeguard lives and property and to prevent crime during and after the festive period. We urge citizens to provide us with credible information that can help us act promptly,” Adeleye stated.
