Eid-el-Maulud: Oluremi Tinubu urges Muslims to uphold peace, unity

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged Muslims across Nigeria to promote peace, unity and peaceful coexistence as they commemorate Eid-el-Maulud 2026.

The First Lady, in a message marking the celebration, encouraged Muslim faithful to reflect on the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), particularly his virtues of compassion, forgiveness and peaceful coexistence.

She urged Muslims to emulate these values and apply them in their homes, communities and the wider society.

“ The celebration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) reminds us of his exemplary life and enduring virtues of compassion, forgiveness, and peaceful coexistence,” she said.

Oluremi Tinubu said the celebration should also serve as an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of unity among Nigerians.

She prayed that Eid-el-Maulud would bring renewed hope, peace and blessings to Nigerians.

She wished Muslim faithful across the country a happy Eid-el-Maulud celebration.
