The Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamali, CFR, has penned a heartwarming appreciation letter to the Oluwo of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, following the latter’s historic visit to the Zazzau Emirate palace in Kaduna State.
The traditional ruler described the visit as historical and revealed that Oba Akanbi was the first monarch to be honoured and celebrated in such a manner in the lifetime of Zaria.
The message in the letter was made available to Western Post in Osogbo on Monday by the press secretary to Oluwo, Alli Ibrahim.
The message sent to Oluwo by the Emir of Zazzau reads, “Your Majesty, Good morning. Trust you and yours are very well. Glad to hear that you arrived safely and in good health. Alhamdulillah.
“I do not have any suitable phrases to express our appreciation and delight on this historic visit to the Zazzau Emirate. I’m pleased to say that you are the first monarch in our lifetime to be celebrated this way in Zaria. Alhamdulillah. Thank you and profound regards. Kabiyesi.”
During the grand reception of Oluwo, a durbar was organized with over 100 horses.
The visit is expected to re-engineer Nigeria’s integration and further lubricate national cohesion.
Meanwhile, Oba Akanbi has called on traditional rulers in the country to conduct their respective thrones towards promoting national unity and integration.
