Empowering Abilities: Three Good Heart Foundation advocates support for persons with disabilities

The founder of the Three Good Heart Foundation, Adebayo MuAritala has reiterated his belief that people with disabilities possess unique abilities.

Speaking at the official opening of the foundation’s new office located at Lasigun Court, Aregbe Area, Osogbo, Muritala, who is blind, emphasized that his personal experience has shown him that disability is not a limitation.

He said, “I believe that in disability there is ability and I do practice it and it works for me. I used the advantage to reach out to many people that are facing challenges just to let them know that is not the end of life.”

Muritala advocated for greater support for persons with disabilities, urging the Government to establish a dedicated home in Osun State.

He said the foundation has expanded its reach, organizing workshops in Ghana and the Philippines to promote inclusivity and skill development adding that the foundation plans to expand its reach globally.

He also emphasized the importance of giving back to the community, calling on individuals and organizations to join their mission.

“No matter what you have, either money or knowledge you have to pass it to people,by supporting or training people so that our community can be great because by doing that we have a less of crime.”

Muritala disclosed that the foundation has launched a women’s cooperative in February 2024, primarily focused on women with disabilities and female youths.

The cooperative, according to him offers savings opportunities, training, and interest-free loans to help women achieve financial independence and secure government support.

Oguntolu Ifatoki (Baba Sango of the USA), a co-founder of the foundation, expressed his compassion for people in need, stating that the foundation has provided an opportunity to express his quality of compassion.

Ifatoki said “I have a compassion for people who are in need and this gave me the opportunity to express the quality that I know I always have.”

The state chairman of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Stephen Oluwafemi described the founders as inspirational leaders and expressed gratitude for the life-changing impact they have made on his community.

At the opening of the new office, the foundation offered school fees, uniforms, and essentials to children of persons with disabilities, as well as food, clothes, and provisions to scores of persons with disabilities.

The foundation, founded by Adebayo Muritala, Oguntolu Ifatoki and Abdulrasheed Sanni, has been at the forefront of promoting inclusivity and providing support to persons with disabilities in Africa.
