Eno’s Entrepreneurial Development Centre, Ibom-Led, graduates 400 trainees

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno’s deliberate efforts at equipping aspiring entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and knowledge to establish and sustain successful businesses has been further heightened with the recent graduation of first batch of 400 entrepreneurs from the Ibom Leadership Development Centre, Uyo.

The graduation ceremony which took place at the E-Library complex, Uyo, had 400 graduands in the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme (EAP) who were presented with certificates after completing a 3-month course offered by the center and fully sponsored by His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno.

In his remark, the Director General of Ibom-LED, Mrs. Ekaette Umoh, urged the graduands to utilize the knowledge they have gained in a way that would positively impact the society, as well as represent the centre well wherever they find themselves.

Also speaking, the team lead, Pastor Imo-Abasi Jacob, congratulated the graduands on their successful completion of the three months free course and admonished them to work towards upgrading their businesses.

On his part, the Director of programme who doubles as SSA to the Governor on Entrepreneurial Development, Mr. Ime Uwah, while presenting the graduands for certification, said they were found worthy in character and learning, reason they deserved to be certified.

He further noted that, he was convinced that the multiplier effect of the training will soon be positively felt in the State and beyond.

Meanwhile, beneficiaries of the initiative expressed gratitude to Governor Umo Eno, for initiating the programme, which they described as amazing, great, impactful and profitable, especially, considering the fact that the programme comes with a grant of N500,000 per participants, with disbursement commencing soon.

They unanimously assured everyone that the ARISE Agenda’s vision will thrive in their hands and foster a bright future for entrepreneurship in the State.
