Entrepreneur Blord remanded in Kuje over alleged impersonation of socialite VeryDarkMan

A federal high court in Abuja has ordered the remand of Linus Williams Ifejirika, a cryptocurrency entrepreneur popularly known as Blord, at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
Blord is facing charges bordering on criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and the unauthorised use of the identity of Martins Vincent Otse, an activist widely known as VeryDarkMan.
The case followed allegations by VeryDarkMan, who accused the entrepreneur of using his image without permission for promotional purposes.
After his arraignment in court, the presiding judge ordered that Blord be remanded in custody until April 27, 2026.
In a reaction, VeryDarkMan shared a video from the courthouse, confirming the development and detailing the allegations against Blord.
“LINUS WILLIAMS IFEJIRIKA A.K.A BLORD have been remanded at the Kuje correctional center. He is remanded for 26 days, meaning he will be spending his Easter in prison,” he said.
He further alleged that Blord forged flight tickets in his name and falsely claimed he had been paid N500 million to serve as a brand ambassador, among other claims he described as untrue.
Legal practitioner Marshal Abubakar also confirmed the remand, while activist Omoyele Sowore criticised public celebrations of the detention, warning against what he described as the misuse of legal processes.
