EPL: Eze’s hat-trick inspires Arsenal to 4-1 demolition of Tottenham

Arsenal continued their strong run in the English Premier League with a commanding 4-1 win over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

It was a night made for Eberechi Eze, who netted three times in Sunday’s tie at the Emirates Stadium.

The dominant Gunners had to wait until the 36th minute before opening the scoring when Leandro Trossard got the first goal.

Eze ensured Arsenal headed for the locker room with a two-goal lead as he added the second, four minutes before the end of the first half.

Mikel Arteta’s men picked up where they left off after the break, with Eze scoring his team’s third goal and his own second of the night, just a minute after the restart.

Spurs reduced the deficit in the 55th minute when Richarlison’s well-struck long-range shot beat a badly positioned Arsenal goalkeeper.

Eze, however, completed his hat-trick with a 76th-minute goal, sealing a convincing win for the Gunners.

The victory takes Arsenal’s point haul to 29, six points clear of second-placed Chelsea.
