The Chairman of Ewekoro Local government, Adesina Sikiru Adisa, has commenced palliative works on Obada Oko section of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

Adisa thanked the management and staff of Larfage Cement for their quick response to the yearnings of the people.

While reacting to the intervention of Larfage Cement plant, Ewekoro, he said the intervention of the company had assisted in alleviating the suffering of commuters and residents of the area.

Adisa said the road from Ayedere Obada Oko River bank has become nearly impassable.

He said, the palliative will alleviate the sufferings and pains that motorists go through on the road.

“The failed section of the road, measuring few kilometres with a connecting bridge is one of the busiest road in the area.

“The road is one of the busiest roads in the country as no fewer than 500 heavy-duty trucks ply it every day.

“Many innocent Nigerians have died on the road due to its bad condition and avoidable accident,” Adisa said.
