Ex-Kwara Governor Adebayo passes on at 83

Former Kwara State Governor, Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo, popularly known as C.O. Adebayo, has passed away at the age of 83.
The news of his death broke in the early hours of Wednesday. He was reported to have died at his residence in Abuja.
Adebayo, during his lifetime, served as a senator and later as Minister of Communications in the 1970s and 1980s respectively.
The late elder statesman was widely respected for his contributions to governance and national development.
His daughter, Oloruntoyosi Thomas, currently serves as the Kwara State Commissioner for Livestock.
His son, Cornelius O. Adebayo Jr., is the Executive Secretary and CEO of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) in Abuja.
Family members, political associates, and well-wishers have begun mourning the loss of the elder statesman.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in the coming days.
