Ex-Minister Uju Kennedy thanks President Tinubu, Nigerians for support

Barrister Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, the former Minister of Women Affairs, has expressed her profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve in his administration.

In a letter on October 24, 2024, Ohanenye reflected on her time in office, calling it an honor to contribute to the development of the nation.

“I write to express my sincere gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It has been an honor and a privilege to contribute to the development of our Nation,” Ohanenye stated.

The former minister also extended her appreciation to Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her unwavering support and mentorship during her tenure. She credited the First Lady’s guidance for much of her success as the Minister of Women Affairs.

“I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for her invaluable guidance and support during my tenure as Minister of Women Affairs. Her kindness and encouragement have been instrumental to my success,” she added.

Ohanenye went on to thank the Nigerian people for their trust and support throughout her service, expressing her gratitude for the confidence they placed in her.

“To the people of Nigeria, I am deeply grateful for your unwavering support. Your trust and confidence in me have been a constant source of inspiration,” she noted.

Despite stepping down from her ministerial position, Ohanenye vowed to continue contributing to the country’s progress and prosperity in whatever capacity she can.

“I remain committed to serving my country and will continue to do my utmost to contribute to its progress and prosperity,” Ohanenye concluded.

Her letter of appreciation comes following the recent cabinet reshuffle by President Tinubu’s administration, marking a period of transition within Nigeria’s federal leadership.
