Ex-Osun deputy governor’s husband, Obada dies

Otunba Dr. Felix Obada, husband of ex-Osun Deputy Governor and former Minister of Defence, Erelu Olusola Obada, has reportedly died.
It was gathered that the ex-NNPC executive and e-Gov strategist passed away in the early hours of Thursday in Lagos after a brief illness, at the age of 73.
He is survived by his wife and children.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, the Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, has commiserated with the erstwhile deputy governor of the state, Erelu Olusola Obada, and the entire Obada family over the demise of their loved one.
Akinleye, in a condolence message issued and personally signed, noted that the late Dr. Babatunde Obada was a man of rare intellect and integrity, whose contributions to national development, particularly in the petroleum sector and digital governance, will be remembered for years to come.
His words: “At this crucial time, I extend my deepest condolences to Her Excellency, Erelu Olusola Obada, on the painful loss of her beloved husband, Dr. Felix Babatunde Obada. This is indeed a moment of great sorrow, not just for the family but for all who knew and admired the distinguished life of service he lived.
“I pray that, at this difficult time, Almighty Allah grants Erelu Obada and the entire family the strength to bear this irreparable loss, and may the soul of the departed find eternal rest and peace.”
