EXCLUSIVE: APC governors hold crucial meeting with National Chairman, Adamu today

All Progressives Congress (APC) governors will hold their first meeting with the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu today in Abuja in a yet to be disclosed venue.
The meeting between Adamu and APC state chief executives will be the first meeting of Progressive Governors since the election of the National Chairman on March 26.
The first time they were to meet, only seven governors were around so it was canceled.
The meeting is in a bid to forge an harmonious relationship with the party chairman but WesternPost sources said it may dwell on the forthcoming primaries of the party and issues around which geopolitical zone will produce the next president.
One source said: “The governors wield considerable power and influence within political parties APC inclusive. So Chairman Abdullahi Adamu does not joke with them.
“So the meeting will seek to create and cement a good working relationship with the governor.”
Some of the presidential and governorship aspirants in APC have been paying private visit to the Abuja and Keffi residence of the National Chairman for consultation with him.
