FAAN launches Acculturation Programme to boost efficiency, excellence

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched an Acculturation Programme to transform its organisational culture towards greater efficiency and excellence.
During the launch event, FAAN’s Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, highlighted the importance of the programme in fostering a work environment where excellence, efficiency, and integrity are paramount.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Director of Special Duties, Mr. Henry Agbebire, includes comprehensive culture change training for all staff, guided by a new handbook. Additionally, FAAN has introduced “Skyward Shift,” a monthly bulletin designed to keep staff informed and motivated.
To further incentivize outstanding performance, FAAN has announced the Managing Director’s Prize and Award for Excellence and Productivity. Kuku emphasized the programme’s role in continuous improvement, encouraging staff to engage fully with the training sessions and materials.
“Change is never easy, but it is necessary for growth and progress,” Kuku stated, expressing confidence in the staff’s ability to advance FAAN’s vision.
FAAN noted that the Acculturation Programme aligns with the forward-thinking approach of the Minister of Aviation and Aeronautical Development, Festus Keyamo, in transforming the ministry’s organisational culture. The programme aims to equip the workforce with essential values, skills, and mindsets necessary for success.
“With this programme, FAAN aims to exceed stakeholder and passenger expectations, positioning itself as a leader in the global aviation community,” the agency stated.
