FAAN MD leads assessment tour of Lagos airport
The Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, led a team of officials on a comprehensive assessment tour of Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport today.
The tour included Dr. Hendrix Odige from the Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU) under the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, and Mr. Haliu Mohammed from the Federal Ministry of Aviation.
The CDCU is responsible for monitoring the progress and performance of Presidential and Ministerial deliverables to ensure they align with the eight Presidential Priorities of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, particularly the fifth priority: “Enhancing Infrastructure and Transportation as Enablers of Growth.” This initiative aims to improve the nation’s transportation infrastructure to drive economic development.
As part of the assessment, Mrs. Kuku, accompanied by FAAN directors and management staff, presented an extensive report and led the visitors through the Domestic Terminal 1 (DT1) and the International Terminals, showcasing the ongoing improvements and progress at the airport.
Dr. Odige, who was part of the Presidential delegation, expressed his satisfaction with the progress made under Mrs. Kuku’s leadership.
He commended the FAAN team for their efforts in ensuring that the aviation sector’s infrastructure aligns with the national development goals.
