Faleke slams opposition, urges Lagosians to back APC in council polls

By Kunle Sanni –

Ahead of the July 12 local council elections in Lagos State, James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives and representative of Ikeja Federal Constituency, has called on voters in Lagos to rally behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming local government elections.

Speaking at the APC campaign rally for Lagos West 1 Senatorial District held at Ifako Ijaiye Stadium on Thursday, July 3, Faleke emphasized that full support for APC candidates would ensure continuity in good governance and development across the state.

Faleke, who also chairs the House Committee on Finance, highlighted the benefits of having alignment between local, state, and federal governments.

He argued that such synergy is essential for the seamless implementation of policies aimed at improving the lives of ordinary Nigerians.

In a pointed critique of the opposition, Faleke accused several opposition figures of posturing as defenders of democracy despite having held political office in the past without delivering any meaningful impact.

“Many of those now parading themselves as champions of democracy were once in power but left no legacy. Lagosians must compare their track record with the performance of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has consistently delivered results,” he stated.

With the 2027 general elections on the horizon, Faleke urged voters to make informed decisions based on past performance and proven commitment to development.
