Fasoranti resigns as SSG, declares for Ondo Central Senate seat
The Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, has resigned his position to contest for the Ondo Central Senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fasoranti, son of Afenifere leader, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, made his resignation public on Friday, April 3, while confirming his intention to run for the Senate.
In a statement announcing his ambition, Fasoranti said his decision was driven by a strong commitment to public service and the desire to contribute meaningfully to governance.
“I, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, hereby formally express my interest to contest for the position of Senator representing the good people of Ondo Central Senatorial District,” he wrote.
“This decision is borne out of a deep sense of responsibility, a lifelong commitment to public service and an unwavering belief in the immense potential of our people.
“I am motivated by the desire to promote people-centric representation and to contribute to the consolidation of the dividends of democracy across our communities.”
He added that governance must be practical, inclusive and impactful, stressing that leadership should create opportunities for growth and development.
Fasoranti also said he would be guided by values of humility, integrity and dedication, noting that his goal is to provide purposeful representation and translate the aspirations of the people into meaningful action at the national level.
