President Bola Tinubu has extended warm wishes to fathers across the country and beyond, describing them as “silent defenders and tireless nation-builders” whose sacrifices sustain families and strengthen the fabric of the nation.
In a heartfelt Father’s Day message released on Sunday, the President paid tribute to fathers for carrying the weight of responsibility with quiet strength and unwavering discipline.
“To be a father is to carry the weight of responsibility with quiet strength. It is to sacrifice comfort so your children can dream, to model discipline, and to lead with love and firmness. These are the same values that hold a nation together,” President Tinubu said.
Speaking personally as a father and grandfather, he noted that “no title is more sacred” than that of a father, emphasising that the home remains the first institution of leadership.
“Our country is only as strong as the men who lead with integrity within their families,” he added.
The President expressed gratitude to all Nigerian fathers, both biological and symbolic, at home and abroad, acknowledging their daily contributions to shaping the nation’s future.
“Thank you to all Nigerian fathers, biological and symbolic, home and abroad. Your everyday labours shape the character of our country and the future of our children,” he said.
