Fayemi inspects, airport, school, bus terminal, other projects in Ekiti

Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi on Thursday inspected numerous ongoing projects in the state.
In a post on his Facebook page, the governor said he was at a bus terminal project, the airport project and the Memorial Model College under construction.
“I was on my routine inspection of the Bus Terminal project in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti Agro-allied Cargo Airport and Ekiti Knowledge Zone (EKZ) along Ijan-Ekiti road, as well as Harding Memorial Model College in Ado-Ekiti.
“The Bus Terminal is part of our Central Business District urban renewal project, and it is designed to address the issue of indiscriminate parking and disorganized motor park activities which contribute to traffic gridlocks within Ado metropolis.
“Ekiti International Agro Cargo Airport is a critical component of our broader strategy to make Ekiti a knowledge hub, a medical tourism destination, an agro cargo transport, and an Infotech hub.
“We are also designing Ekiti Knowledge Zone to take advantage of technology for scientific research, industrialisation, and innovative services, as well as attract business process outsourcing companies and the back office teams of large tech companies.
“Harding Memorial Model College is being constructed as a two storey building of 36 classrooms with over 50 toilets, chemistry, biology and physics laboratories, as well as ICT and home economics laboratories. Other facilities that will be provided in the two storey edifice include a large examination hall, staffrooms, administrative offices, perimeter fencing, a football pitch, a basketball court, parking space and water treatment plant, amongst others.
“Our administration will not relent in moving Ekiti State to the next level of sustainable development in all sectors,” he wrote.
