Fayose, Bode George, 35 others in PDP presidency zoning committee

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose and former Nigeria Ports Authority Chairman, Chief Bode George have been named in the Peoples Democratic Party’s 37-man committee to determine the zoning for the 2023 presidential election.
The party had at its joint Board of Trustees and National Executive Committee meeting last Wednesday agreed on setting up a 37-man committee with one member from each state and the Federal Capital Territory to decide on the part’s position on zoning.
Fayose is representing Ekiti State, while George is representing Lagos State.
Other members of the committee from the South West are: Hon. Daisi Akintan (Ogun), Dr. Omotayo Dairo (Ondo), Prof. Adewale Oladipo (Osun) and Sen. Hosea Agboola (Oyo).
The committee also has the governors of Benue and Enugu states, Samuel Ortom and Ifeanyi Uguanyi as members as well as former governors Attahiru Bafarawa (Sokoto), Jonah Jang (Plateau), Ibrahim Shema (Katsina), Ibrahim Dakwambo (Gombe) and Boni Haruna (Adamawa).
