FG launches data platform to unlock Nigeria’s creative, tourism potential

The Federal Government has unveiled the D30 Platform, a national data and investment intelligence hub designed to identify opportunities and attract investments into Nigeria’s creative and tourism economy.
The platform, developed by the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy in partnership with Cavista Holdings, will provide investors, businesses and state governments with information on creative clusters, tourism assets, infrastructure gaps and viable investment opportunities.
Speaking at the launch, the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, said the platform would address the longstanding challenge of inadequate and unreliable data in the sector, helping investors make informed decisions and enabling government to deploy resources effectively.
“D30 is not intended to be another government database that simply accumulates information. Its purpose is to support decisions that help businesses expand, guide investors and enable government to deploy resources more effectively,” she said.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Abdulkarim Ozi Ibrahim, described the platform as a significant milestone in efforts to unlock the economic potential of Nigeria’s creative and tourism industries. He said it would strengthen evidence-based policymaking, improve investment visibility and support business expansion.
The Executive Director and Vice President, Government and External Affairs at Cavista Holdings, Olumide Olayomi, said D30 would help identify viable investments, address infrastructure gaps and drive growth across the sector. He added that Nigeria’s cultural heritage, tourism destinations and creative industries offered significant opportunities for job creation and wealth generation.
The Statistician-General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of the National Bureau of Statistics, Prince Adeyemi Adeniran, represented by his Technical Assistant, Moses Waniko, pledged the Bureau’s collaboration with the Ministry to improve data collection, harmonise methodologies and ensure compliance with national and international statistical standards.
