FG reaffirms commitment to deepen PTAD reforms

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to deepen Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) reforms, strengthen institutional capacity and deliver transparent, accountable service for every pensioner.
This was stated by Minister of State for Finance Doris Uzoka-Anite, when she visited the PTAD to launch the second edition of its Service Charter, themed ‘Renewed Commitment to Service Excellence’ in Abuja on Wednesday.
The Charter is a social contract that sets clear standards and expectations for quicker, more reliable, people centred services for our senior citizens.
According to the minister, the work aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“With President Bola Tinubu’s recent approval to clear outstanding pension liabilities through a bond programme of over N800 billion, we are taking decisive steps to ensure retirees are paid promptly and treated with dignity.
“Our pensioners deserve fairness, dignity and peace of mind. At the Federal Ministry of Finance, we will continue to support PTAD to deepen reforms, strengthen institutional capacity and deliver transparent, accountable service for every pensioner.
“I congratulate the Executive Secretary and the PTAD team, and appreciate our partners at PenCom, SERVICOM and the Public Complaints Commission for their collaboration on this renewed commitment to service excellence,” she saiid.
