FG to establish full-scale cooking stove manufacturing facility in Ogun

The Federal Government has revealed plans to establish a full-scale cooking stove manufacturing facility in Ogun State. This initiative marks a major advancement in Nigeria’s commitment to clean energy.

Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, announced the plans after a meeting with the Global CEO of Burn Manufacturing. The discussions centered around advancing this critical project.

Ngelale also met with Brazilian Ambassador Joao Soares to discuss climate action and potential green industrial collaborations between Nigeria and Brazil.

The Presidential Envoy highlighted that this upgrade from their current assembly-only plant in Kano State reflects Nigeria’s increasing emphasis on clean cooking solutions as a means of wealth creation and a crucial component of the energy transition.

Recognizing the significance of their roles as the most populous countries in Africa and South America, Nigeria and Brazil are set to enhance industrial cooperation, promoting climate justice and sustainable economic growth.
